Rate of Unemployment= Unemployed/Total labor force|||this is the percentage of employable persons in a country that is unemployed .|||drama guy is the only who%26#039;s correct- its the percentage of people who are unemployed and *seeking* work. otherwise housewives, rich people who dont work, prisoners, etc. would all be included in there and it would be considerably higher. some people say the unemployment rate should be higher than it is right now because a lot of people have given up hope of finding a job and would like a job but are no longer actively seeking work (so they arent counted in the calculation)
